Why Edge Protection?

Cur­rent pro­blem with pow­der coa­ting technology:

• During elec­tro­sta­tic app­li­ca­ti­on, the pow­der coa­ting does not always cover the edges
• During visu­al inspec­tion, the paint appears to cover the edges
• Wear and cor­ro­si­on occur most rapidly at the edges, becau­se that is whe­re work­pie­ces are most sensitive
• Pre­ma­tu­re cor­ro­si­on affects the qua­li­ty and lon­ge­vi­ty of products
• Two-coat pow­der coa­tings do not sol­ve the pro­blem of cor­ro­si­on on edges

Our solu­ti­on

Our Edge Pro­tec­tion, “High edge pro­tec­tion in an inno­va­ti­ve pow­der coa­ting solu­ti­on”. The decisi­ve advan­ta­ge here is “on the edge”. Edge coverage of at least 20 microns pro­vi­des excel­lent pro­tec­tion, even under extre­me con­di­ti­ons. The pro­duct has been spe­cial­ly for­mu­la­ted for hard-to-coat sharp edges, such as laser cuts, embos­sing and pun­ching. Even in a sin­gle-coat pro­cess, the edge cor­ro­si­on is as good as in two-coat pro­ces­ses, thus also hel­ping to extend pro­duct shelf life in use.
